BRITT POQUIS

My name is Britt Poquis and I began my tattoo career at Shoot the Moon as Arrow’s first apprentice back in November 2020. Before entering the tattoo industry, I was already a self taught artist working in various mediums such as graphite, colored pencil, clay and acrylic paint. I sold artwork through galleries in the US, Portugal and Australia, and continue to publish my work in books and other media. Tattooing is by far the most exciting medium yet, as I get to collaborate with people who appreciate art in its most intense form. My dream is to create painterly and illustrative tattoos that have long lasting foundational structure, but a unique flair that only someone with a painting background could give. I love creating artwork based off of mythology, fantasy, mysticism, occult and horror themes with an emphasis on figures, portraits, animals and botanica.

In real life, you might find me perusing oddities markets, thrift/antique stores, estate sales or the local flea market. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, and I love going to shows. I’m also an avid reader and consider myself a bit of a history nerd. I haven’t perfected the art of talking and tattooing yet, so appointments with me are quiet for the most part, but I’m open to both chatting and silent appointments for those of you that just come to relax. My goal is always to do my very best, and create a beautiful piece of art. I truly love what I do, and I look forward to working with you.
